I must congratulate the Rivers State Governor His Excellency Nyesom Ezewor Wike for redeeming his promise to Ekpena people Ahoada East having commenced the construction of the Ekpena road, the flagging off of two faculties of Rivers State University Ahoada campus and the dualization of Ahoada-Omoku road projects.
This indeed is good news for Ekpeye people & a testimony about the developmental strides of the Wike led administration in Rivers state anchored on massive deployment & delivery of legacy projects across the state & Ekpeye in particular.
I hope same be done to my community urgently. Ihuaba is seriously underdeveloped & deserves urgent Government attention. It is quite worrisome to note that a whole Ihuaba community in Ekpeye land does not have road, light & portable drinking water. This is very disturbing to me especially each time I visit home seeing how my local people suffer during raining season on that road. Rural road construction & electrification would open up our localities for development hence reduce drastically rural urban migration.

You will agree with me that the place of Ihuaba cannot be forgotten in a hurry in the anals of Ekpeye history being the community that produced the first Eze Ekpeye logbo in the person of late HM. Eze Ashirim Unoshi and the current Eze Igbu Upata HM Felix Otuwarikpo including the serving member representing Ahoada East & Abua Odual in the Federal House of Representative Barr Solomon Bob. By all justification Ihuaba community deserve these basic infrastructures in place to cushion the suffering we go through on that road. It may surprise you to note that on going to Ihuaba you have to ply through Ihuowo and then Idoke before getting to Ihuaba. This is shameful please in my view. I apeal to the Rivers state Governor Barr. Nyesom Ezewor Wike and all stakeholders in Ekpeye to consider the construction of Ihuaba road and indeed the electrification of Ihuaba community & Ward 10 communities in Ahoada East comprising Ihuowo, Ihuaba, Idoke & Ihuama. It is pitiable that smaller communities in Ekpeye are already enjoying power supply and good roads but we cannot boast of even drinking water in Ihuaba. I humbly apeal to all those concerned to respond to this urgly situation urgently so we can enjoy the true dividends of both the Buhari & Nyesom Wike Administration.
Thank you.
