The BRACED Union, a coalition of South-South people of Nigeria has commiserated with the Awala family in Ahoada East and its Rivers State Treasurer Dame Mrs Beautrice Awala over the demise of her husband Late Sir Vincent Sam Awala.
In a statement by the State Chairman, Rivers State Council of BRACED Union, Arc.Tom Inko-Tariah issued by the state Director of Publicity Comrade Alamina Abibo enjoines all BRACED members, EXCO members, Rivers State Council, BRACED LGA Chairmen and Ward Chairmen to attend the burial.
The statement noted that the burial as announced by the family, will commence on Friday 8th January 2021 while interment holds on Saturday 9th January 2021. Thanksgiving is on Sunday 10th January 2021 at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Ahoada.

In His remark the National President of the BRACED Union High Chief Monday Wehere JP described the late Sir Awala as a true statesman who contributed immensely to the development of the state. He prayed God to grant the wife and the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable lose.

The BRACED Union is a South-South conciousness and a social cultural Group working to unite the inhabitants of the BRACED Region to start speaking with one voice incase of eventuality.
BRACED is an acronym for the South-South states in Nigeria, in the order: Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa-Ibom, Cross River, Edo, and Delta.
