Ukechuwu Michael Nyemenim Male, Nigeria, a native of Ogbo in Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State. He was born on the 9th September, 1953, He is married with children. Ukechuwu Michael Nyemenim is a medical doctor with specialization in cardiology.

He retired from the Rivers State civil service in 2013, haven attained the rank of Chief Consultant (Consultant Specialist Grade 1) physician. (Cardiology) from 2013 to 2015 Ukechuwu Michael Nyemenim was technical assistant to the Hon. Commissioner for Health, Rivers State on HIV/AIDS services-his other area of specialization.

Ukechuwu Michael Nyemenim started his education in 1958 from Baptist Day School, Port Harcourt. He completed his elementary School in 1964 with a distinction in the First School Leaving Certificate Exams. In 1965, Ukechuwu Michael Nyemenim was admitted into Baptist High School, Port Harcourt for his Secondary School Career. This was truncated by the civil war in 1967. In 1969, he continued his Secondary School education at Western Ahoada Country High School, Ahoada. This was brilliantly completed in December 1971, haven received the West African School Certificate. From 1972 to 1974 he was at the College of Science and Technology Port Harcourt, from where he received the Advanced Level London General Certificate of Education in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. In 1975, he proceeded to the former USSR for his medical education. He graduated in 1982 with an MD degree in general medicine, from Rostov State Medical Institute, Rostov on Don, USSR. After graduation, Ukechuwu Michael Nyemenim underwent internship at the Port Harcourt General Hospital, from 1983 to 1984.

From 1984 to 1985, he served in National Youth Service at the 32 Field Artillary Brigade, Obinze. He came back to the Rivers State Civil Service in 1985 after completing his service. In his post service years, he worked in the Chest Clinic of the Rivers State Ministry of Health in the Tuberculosis control unit. By late 1985, he became the Medical Officer of Health in charge of Ikwerre-Etche Local Government Area and the LGA coordinator of Primary Health Care. This assignment he handled until December 1985 when he left for post graduate studies back to the USSR. Ukechuwu Michael Nyemenim returned to Nigeria in 1999, haven obtain a PhD in Cardiology-internal Medicine. He worked at the Civil Servants Clinic, PH, then at Braithwaite Memorial Specialist Hospital (currently Rivers State University Teaching Hospital) until retirement in 2013. Currently he runs a private specialist health facility.

Ukechuwu Michael Nyemenim is a Christian. He is a Justice of the Peace, JP and a Jerusalem Pilgrim JP. He is deeply committed to the study and propagation of Ekpeye Language and an avowed health care educator and enthusiast.
