CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE
Ekpeleni Ekpeye, the foremost socio political and advocacy group in Ekpeye Ethnic Nationality congratulates the President General, Dr Ukechukwu Nyemenim and other members of National Executive Council of Uzugbani Ekpeye on their successful inauguration ceremony which took place on August 18, 2022 at Ahoada.
Your emergence and subsequent Inauguration, are timely in view of burning issues that affect Ekpeye nation.

The Professor Dulu Appah and later Architect Nnamdi Obuzor-led Uzugbani Ekpeye tried their best, but their best was not good enough as the traditional institution and Ekpeye in general became more balkanized and Clan-centric during the period under review which the immediate past Uzugbani Ekpeye Executives failed to address.
Moving forward, the New National Executive Council of Uzugbani Ekpeye should hit the ground running and begin with Stakeholders’ consultations to be more abreast on current happenings and find a quick fix to the teething problems without delay.
Mr President General of Uzugbani Ekpeye, your emergence to lead one of the largest Ethnic Nationalities in Rivers State is a round peg in a round hole, therefore Ekpeye people are expectant and are ready to support you and members of your National Executive Council to sail the ship.
Consequently, we implore you to as a matter of urgency, release the Ekpeye Ethnic Nationality draft Constitution which is one important document the Ekpeye people desire to see now in circulation. The Ekpeye Constitution as put together by a committee who consulted widely with relevant stakeholders, contains the roles and functions of Eze Ekpeye Logbo and other six Eze Igbus( kingdoms )that make up Ekpeye nation. Their roles as clearly spelt out will go a long way to reducing the problems bedeviling our Ethnic Nationality. The time for action, is now.

It is our sincere hope that the entrance of Uzugbani Ekpeye new National Executive Council into piloting the Ekpeye Ship will no doubt, open a new vista of relationship, change the narrative and navigate the Ekpeye interest especially, as the 2023 General Elections approach.
