UBA Foundation National Essay Competition 2023: United Bank of Africa, UBA, Africa’s leading commercial bank as part of its quest in promoting reading culture, and encourage healthy and intellectual competition amongst secondary school in Nigeria and across Africa has commence a National Essay Competition for secondary schools across Nigeria to compete through its foundation.
As an Annual program, this year’s edition has commenced and application is to close on friday 20th of October 2023.
Essay Topic: Will Artificial Intelligence (AI) take over Human Intelligence? What should students do to ensure AI doesn’t override but enhance their ability to learn through research?
Awards/Prizes:
The Competition has three categories of prizes for the Winner, 1st runner up and 2nd runner up respectively and all three winners will be offered scholarship to any choice university of their choice in Africa. The winner is expected to go home with a whooping sum of N5,000,000 (Five million naira), the 1st runner up is expected to go home with a whooping sum of N3,000,000 (Three Million Naira) while the 2nd runner up goes home with N2,500,000 (Two Million, Five Hundred Thousand Naira), respectively.

UBA Foundation National Essay Competition 2023 Selection Criteria and Eligibility
- Must be a Nigerian Senior Secondary school student
- Must submit a passport photograph
- Must submit a scanned copy of a means of identification (birth certificate, National ID, or passport)

If you meet the application requirements stated above then get ready to compete in the national competition and you could be the next winner. Note That Essay must be hand written and scanned. Also scan a copy of your birth certificate and passport then ensure your parent or guardian’s has a functional email and phone number.
