Amid internal crisis rocking the People’s Democratic party PDP at the national level, the Rivers State governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, has disclosed that he will soon speak on recent happenings in the party.
The Governor, in a statement by his Special Assistant Media, Kelvin Ebiri, said it has become pertinent for him to speak and reveal to Nigerians all that has transpired in the PDP since the emergence of former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar as the presidential candidate of the party.
“On Atiku, I will speak soon and Nigerians will know the actual truth of all that has transpired in the PDP in recent times.”
Governor Wike after losing the keenly contested 2023 PDP Presidential Primaries to Atiku Abubakar of which he came second being a Southerner many thought that he should naturally emerge Atiku’s running mate following his popularity and contributions to the sustainability of the PDP over the years; but unfortunately got the greatest shock of his life when Atiku opted for the Delta state Governor Senator Ifeanyi Okowa as his running mate, a decision against the expectations of many in the party.
