Joint resolution between Uzugbani Ekpeye and Ekpeye Council of Traditional Rulers and Chiefs dated 12th October, 2021 [Video]

 
 
 
Resolved as follows:
 
1. The Uzugbani Ekpeye through its reconciliation committee earlier appointed should facilitate and effect the discontinuation and/or withdrawal of all court cases in court relating to the throne of Eze Ekpeye logbo and all other cases thereto
 
2. That the succession and accession to the throne is the right for all Ekpeye son who is elected through a competitive democratic electoral process being the standing tradition in Ekpeye ab initio
 
3. That the heritage of the throne of Ezekpeye logbo has never been and it is not a biological and monarchical right restricted to any one person, family, village/town, igbu except EKPEYE. Hence it is the inheritance for all sons born by the founder of the ethnic nationality- “EKPEYE”.
 
4. That anyone who attempts to declare himself the Eze Ekpeye logbo when not duly elected and/or perverts the known process of properly electing the Eze Ekpeye logbo shall through all legal means be resisted and dealt with accordingly.
 
5. That an Ekpeye deciplinary committee should be appointed and inaugurated by the President-General of Uzugbani Ekpeye Prof. High Chief Dulu Appah. Accordingly the committee was appointed and inaugurated
 
 
6. That the Constitution Drafting Committee earlier appointed by Uzugbani Ekpeye as directed by Ekpeye people at it’s Congress of 5th April, 2021 to produce a constitution for Ekpeye ethnic nationality should speed up, conclude process and submit a draft constitution for final approval.
 
The joint meeting which was conveyed by Uzugbani Ekpeye was co-chaired by the President-General Professor Dulu Appah and the Regent of Eze Ekpeye logbo in Council, Nye Udu Igbu Upata III His Majesty Dr. Felix E. Otuwarikpo
