The attention of His Majesty Eze (Hon) Cassidy O. W Ikegbidi JP, AP, Eze Igbu Akoh II of Akoh Kingdom in Ekpeye Ethnic Nationality has been drawn to a rumour circulating the micro chatting social media application (WhatsApp) of his consent to some faceless and desperate youths who attempted to stop the ongoing road construction works at Ekpena community in Akoh-Ahoada East Local Government Area, Rivers State in the name of homage and settlement.

Eze Cassidy has asked the public to discountenance such frivolous and malicious claims by the enemies of development as he does not and will not give such directives, especially at a time that Ekpena community is rejoicing over the ongoing construction works as promised and fulfilled by His Excellency, Chief Barr. Ezenwo Nyesom Wike CON, GSSRS, POS (Africa), the executive governor of Rivers State after suffering for a very long time.
The first class traditional ruler has warned that any youth who is found disrupting or attempting to disrupt the ongoing construction works in his domain will be arrested, prosecuted and decisively dealt with .
The monarch admonished the youths of Igbu Akoh Kingdom to be cooperative and friendly with the contractors, remain peaceful and law abiding as he assures them of the company’s willingness to fulfil their part of the bargain.
He also appeal to members of the public to always confirm information from the palace before circulating.
